Admin users can view a list of active events, a list of deactivated events, and add new events by navigating to Global Settings > Exposition Management > Add new Event.
List of Active Events
This is the initial screen that is shown after log in. There are 3 quick links next to each event that act as shortcuts to Floorplan Management, Content Management, and Session Management. You can always return to this screen by clicking on the Events option in the Global Navigation bar.
Event ID: unique identifier of the event in the system
Event Name: the name which shows up in GlobalAdmin, public site and emails.
Edit: a link to edit the event details. See Edit Event.
Preview: opens the event public site in new window
Delete: prompts that all data associated with the event will be removed. Non-reversible.
Deactivated Events
Events whose status is Inactive. These events data will not be available in most reports.
Events can be re-activated by clicking Edit.
Add Event
Event Name - The name of the event, as it appears in GlobalAdmin event list, on public site tabs and eventmap, and in From address for event manager.
EventCode - optional. An abbreviation that may be used for internal purposes.
Event Type - the Type that the event belongs to. See article.
Users for selected Event Type - checking this checkbox automatically enables access for any user who had access to the previous event. If unchecked, no user below level 10 has access to the event, and it will need to be enabled manually at a later date via User Permissions or individually.
Start Date - the start date of the event.
End Date - the end date of the event.
Description - a legacy field, does not impact event settings.
Time - a legacy field, does not impact event settings.
Budget - the over-all budget for the event. May be used in reporting.
Event Status - greyed out, as events are added in Active status.
List of Archived Events
List of events that have been archived. The aggregate data is now available on Activity screens; events cannot be un-archived.
