This report allows a General Service Contractor to download a script file of the floor plan layout that can be imported into the original CAD drawing file.
To Pull the Report
1. Select the event. If you selected an event when you logged into the system it will be selected in the drop down by default.
2. Select the layout type that you want to download. CAD Island will be selected by default.
CAD Island – This is the script file that can be imported into AutoCAD (and some other CAD programs) that pulls the active layout. This is the layout that is managed through the system in Events>Features>Expo Management>Floorplan Management, and is displayed on the public event website.
CAD Maxlayout – This is the script file that can be imported into AutoCAD (and some other CAD programs) that pulls the maxed out layout.
a2z Island – This is the A2Z Events version of the active layout that can be imported into an A2Z Events system.
a2z Maxlayout - This is the A2Z Events version of the maxed layout that can be imported into an A2Z Events system.
3. Check the map or maps that you want to pull the download for at this time. All items selected will export as one script file. Best Practice is to pull one script for each map, and then run them individually in the CAD drawing. No map is checked by default.
4. Click Submit.
Troubleshooting
Q: When selecting a map, instead of the chosen map a different map is downloaded
A: This happens when a map has a parent map. Individual maps cannot be downloaded while maps are in Parent Child relationship. (While maps may technically be disconnected temporarily to pull the reports, caution is advised, as this will have impact on how maps are displayed on the public site to exhibitors and attendees.)
