NOTE: In most cases new maps are added by the Implementation team at the time of deployment.
If new maps become necessary during the course of event, please consult your Account Manager, so that the implementation team can set up the maps for you.
To add a new map, populate the New Map form on Maps screen. To edit an existing map, click on its ID or name.
Adding or Editing a Map
Parent Map - If this map is intended to be a Child Map, select its Parent from the dropdown.
Map Name* - Name of the Map that displays for map selection.
Map Description* - additional map information.
Map Default Zoom - zoom setting for screens on which the map is not automatically scaled. (GlobalAdmin Floorplan - Classic, Public Site boothsales.aspx pop-up.)
Position - numeric dropdown up the the number of maps available. The order in which maps are displayed in the lists for selection. The lowest number loads by default.
Display On Public Side - Yes/No
Booth Number Scheme - Logic by which booth number is selected when a block of booths is merged. Choice of Lowest, Highest, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Left, Top Right. Default is Lowest.
Booth Number Location - visual placement of Booth Number within the booth. Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Left, Top Right. Default is Bottom Left.
CoordLX*, CoordLY*, CoordRX*, CoordRY* - an alternative way to specify map dimensions. Use width/height/offset instead.
Map Width* (Units: Pixels) - specifies the height of the base image in pixels
Map Height* (Units: Pixels) - specifies the height of the base image in pixels
OffsetX* (Units: Pixels) - Location of the top left corner of the base image, X coordinate.
OffsetY* (Units: Pixels) - Location of the top left corner of the base image, Y coordinate
Theta* - When rotating maps, the angle of rotation in degrees around the CX/CY point, 0 to 359. Leave 0 if not rotating.
CX* - When rotating maps, the X coordinate of point of rotation. Leave 0 if not rotating.
CY* - When rotating maps, the Y coordinate of the point of rotation. Leave 0 if not rotating.
Views upload section: Allows uploading .gif files to GlobalAdmin to serve as base images.
Click Browse to select a .gif file to serve as a base image for the default view. For additional views, type in the name and hit Browse to upload additional gifs.
In a typical configuration, 3 view files are uploaded.
First file is always Default. This is the Building & Columns view in GlobalAdmin, and Exhibitor view on EventMap.
Second file is named View1.This is the Building view in GlobalAdmin and Attendee view on EventMap.
Third file is named View2. This is the Building, Columns and Electrical view in GlobalAdmin.
Note: base images for printing in GlobalAdmin, as well as all base images for public site must be uploaded by the deployment team outside the system at this time.
