Custom Fields provide the opportunity to track additional information for many parts of the system. There are three types of Custom Fields, each of which has their own field types and display configurations: global, event-specific - custom exhibitor fields, and event-specific - other custom fields and forms.
Global
Company - global or per-event custom fields that describe a Company, such as social media links.
Contact - global custom field that describes Contacts (regardless of their role of participating in a given event.)
Event-Specific
Exhibitor - custom fields for exhibitors with flexible display options.

Attendee - fields pertaining to contact's participation in the event as an attendee are used in configuring Matchmaking.
Booth - fields pertaining to the attributes of the booth itself. (This field type has additional configurations.)
Proposal - fields pertaining to proposals submitted in Call for Papers
Presenter - fields pertaining to presenters of proposals submitted in Call for Papers
Session - fields pertaining to conference sessions
Speaker - fields pertaining to speakers at conference sessions.
Grading - custom fields available to graders / reviewers of proposals in Call for Papers
Custom Forms - additional forms exhibitors can complete.
