Previously, booth personnel management allowed show management to collect names of booth staff attending the event and associate exhibitors with an allotment of badges linked to their company.
Although most functionality offered in Booth Personnel Management is legacy and setups are no longer configured as of June 2022, Booth Personnel Management is still used to control free and paid exhibitor badge allotment.
Generally, a set number of badges are included with a booth purchase (Complimentary). If needed, show management may allow exhibitors to purchase an additional allotment of badges for a set price (PAID).
Paid badge pricing is calculated based on the size of the booth space. The industry standard normally allots a set number of complimentary badges per 100 square feet (or a 10x10 booth space) and exhibitors may purchase a preset number of additional badges per 100 square feet.
This article reviews the steps for updating event configuration settings to enable badge allotment and details the process to override an exhibitor badge limit.

Update Event Configuration Settings
To get started, navigate to Events > Event Settings > Event Configuration then complete the following:
- Populate the number of badges included with a booth purchase in the Number of complimentary/free exhibitor badges field.
- Enter the total number of both complimentary and paid badges per 100 sq ft. in the Maximum number of exhibitor badges for per 100 sq ft field.
The value for the maximum number of badges is the total quantity of both the number included with a booth purchase plus the set amount of additional purchasable badges per 100 sq ft. (e.g., 2 complimentary badges per booth purchase, and 1 additional badge can be purchased which equals a maximum number of 3 badges per 100 sq ft. in total.)
Badge Limit Overrides
If needed, you can manage allotment exceptions for individual companies from the Exhibitor Badges page. First, navigate to your floor plan then access the company record's booth page by clicking on their assigned booth. Load the exhibitor badges page by clicking the edit icon located in the Badges column.
The Exhibitor Badges page offers functionality to override the previously set limit of complimentary and maximum allotment of badges per 100 sq ft.
To complete this process, select the Override Badge Limit checkbox then update the limit values for each field accordingly.
Click Update to save your changes. To confirm the edit is successful, you can review the example message text that appears below the override section.
