Once the proposal categories are created, the proposals page can be reconfigured to best display the call(s) for submissions, if desired.
Overview
Navigate to the Admin Panel and select Page Editor under Site Building Tools.
Find the page with the URL /proposals (use CRTL F quick keys to find the page faster). Click the Edit button for the page.
This is where you can modify the page layout and individual block settings.
By default, this page will have:
- My Assigned Proposals: this block shows reviewers a list of proposals assigned to them; it will only show on the front-end to a user who has been assigned a proposal to review
- List of Proposals: this block shows a list of all proposals across all categories
- Proposal Categories: this block shows a list of the categories (linked to the category pages) you created to be used for calls
To change the column layout of the page, modify the ‘Column Layout’ option.
Additional rows can be added to the page, if desired, by clicking the ‘Add Row’ button.
Blocks can be moved around the page by dragging and dropping.
Add/Edit a Block: Separate Blocks for each Call
For this example, we’ll show how to add a second list of proposals in the case that you have more than one call for proposals at a time.
Click + Add Block to add a new block to a section.
Select the Category and then select the Type: Reviews > List of Review Items.
Change the block ‘Title’ to what you want the block name to be on the front-end, for example the name of the event the call for proposals is for.
Select the ‘Default Sort By’ to determine how the list of proposals will be sorted by default.
Optionally, set the ‘Item Status Filter’. This will limit the proposals that will show by approval status. To include all proposals of all approval statuses, leave this blank.
Enter in the specific ‘Review Category’ to limit the list of proposals to one category only.
- Note: the review category can by found in the Admin Panel > Site Building Tools > Forms & Reviews Manager > Categories > Edit the Category > ‘Category ID’ field
Select ‘Session Proposal’ as the ‘Form Types’ to include.
Set the ‘Module Layout’ to Table.
Enter in the number of ‘Items Per Page’ aka proposals per page you want to display.
Enter in a ‘No data message’ for example “No proposals created in this category”, for when there are no proposals yet submitted.
Check the ‘Show create item button’ checkbox to display the add proposal button.
Click Save to save the block settings.
Click Save to save the page.
Now you have a second list of proposals specific to one category added to the page.
Modify the existing ‘List of Proposals’ block by clicking Edit.
Update the ‘Title’ as needed.
Enter in the specific ‘Review Category’ to limit the list of proposals to the second category.
- Note: the review category can by found in the Admin Panel > Site Building Tools > Forms & Reviews Manager > Categories > Edit the Category > ‘Category ID’ field
Click Save to save the block settings.
Click Save to save the page.
Now you have two lists of proposals, one for each call for proposals category.
