Define Interests w/o Attendee Integration from Preferred Vendor
Attendees and exhibitors can select their interests on their user profile for the purpose of matching exhibitors to attendees and attendees to attendees. But first, an admin should determine the interest options. These can be any relevant interest or category relevant to your show and exhibitors that you want to use for matchmaking.
Navigate to the Admin Panel and select Matchmaking Manger under the Site Building Tools menu. The User Interests section allows you to add, reorder, and delete interests.
Enter the interest label, for example “Technology” and click Save. Click Add New Tag to add an additional interest tag.
Click and drag an interest via the drag-and-drop handle to reorder the interests.
Click Remove to delete an interest.
- If you change the interest label name after users are in the platform, any users who had that interest selected will no longer have it selected
- Interest labels with dashes – are not supported
Restrict Meeting Dates & Times (optional)
As a part of the matchmaking feature, attendees and exhibitors can schedule meetings to connect during, before, or after the show.
Show Organizers can restrict when these meetings are allowed to take place.
Navigate to the Admin Panel and select Matchmaking Manger under the Site Building Tools menu. The Meeting Time Ranges section allows you to choose when meetings can be scheduled.
Leave blank if you want no meeting restrictions.
Select the start date and time and end date and time that meetings are allowed. Click Save.
Click Add Range to add an additional time range.
Click Remove to delete the time range.
Restrict Number of Meeting Invitations for Exhibitors (optional)
As a part of the matchmaking feature, Show Organizers can restrict the number of meeting invitations an exhibitor is allowed. This restriction is by exhibitor level.
Navigate to the Admin Panel and select Organization Manager under the Site Building Tools menu. The Details section allows you to restrict meeting invitations.
Check Enable above the “# Meetings Allowed” column to enable invitation restrictions.
Enter the number of meeting invitations allowed per exhibitor level. Click Save.
The exhibitor will see the number of meeting invitations they have left on their Event Portal.
- Meeting invitations count towards the progress bar, pictured above
If the exhibitor meets their limit, they will see an informative message when trying to schedule a meeting letting them know they have no more meeting invitations left.
The exhibitor will see a message “You have # meeting invites left” when scheduling a meeting.
Meeting Calendar Colors
Exhibitor users and attendees will have a dedicated meetings page to manage their meetings for matchmaking. This includes a personalized meeting calendar.
The meeting calendar shows each meeting by RSVP status, which has an associated color. The colors are determined by the Body Editor site colors.
- RSVP Status of Going = Success Color
- RSVP Status of Interested = Info Color
- RSVP Status of Not Interested = Danger Color
- RSVP Status of Invited = Warning Color
- If the user of the event is the owner, the text will be the link color defined on the Fonts section
