Admins with the Admin Roles of Admin or Show Manager can manage sessions on the front-end.
Add a Session Manually
Proposals can be created as sessions, but also sessions can be created manually.
- Note: control who has access to create sessions in the Admin Panel > Events Manager > Access Control; specific admins roles can always create sessions
- Note: before creating sessions at least one event category must be defined in the Admin Panel > Events Manager > Categories
Navigate to the Sessions page via the main navigation on the front-end.
Click the + Add Session button.
Enter the session information: title, description, category, date & time, location etc.
Click Save to create the session.
Edit a Session
Navigate to the session you want to modify via the Sessions main navigation option. Search or filter the list of sessions to find the specific session and select it.
Click the three-dot menu on the session details card and select Edit.
This will open the session details in edit-mode. Modify as needed and click Save.
Embed a Pre-recorded Video for a Session
Navigate to the session you want to modify via the Sessions main navigation option. Search or filter the list of sessions to find the specific session and select it.
Click the three-dot menu on the session details card and select Video Options.
Paste the video URL from one of the following: YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Twitch, Nexus Webcast, or Brightcove.
Click Save.
The video will now appear instead of the photo.
Add/Edit Session Photos
Navigate to the session you want to modify via the Sessions main navigation option. Search or filter the list of sessions to find the specific session and select it.
Click the camera icon, the Upload Photos banner link, or select Upload Photos from the three-dot menu.
Drag and drop or browse to select images. More than one can be added.
Wait until you see the green success color and the message Upload complete before closing the modal.
Now your photo(s) have been uploaded successfully.
To edit the photos, click on the photo area. This will open a carousel view where attendees can browse multiple photos and admins can delete photos and set the cover photo.
