Global Settings> Content Management> Press Releases
Press Releases can be added to the system at the global level, and then made available on the event site.
Note: this is Press Releases that can be added by event management pertaining to the event. For Press Releases added by Exhibitors as a part of their booth profile, see Press Release Report and Press Release public site features.
List of Press Releases
- ID – The unique identifier in the system for this press release.
- Press Release Title – The name of the press release that will appear in the press release list between the show and hide dates when the display box is checked.
- Press Release Date – The date the press release was officially released.
- Archive – When this box is checked the press release is closed and cannot be displayed on an event site.
- Display – When this box is checked the press release is available to be displayed on an event site.
- Show PR Date – The date that a displayed press release will show on an event site.
- Hide PR Date – The date that a displayed press release will stop showing on an event site.
- Event Type – Click this link to associate one or more event types, and select PR Categories (See below for more information).
- Delete – Click this link to remove the press release from the system.
Press Release Search
When editing press releases the user can search through the list to narrow the results.
- Keyword – Enter a word to search for press releases that include this word.
- Search For – If desired the keyword search can be narrowed by selecting:
- PR Title – Search for the keyword in ONLY the title of the press release.
- PR Description – Search for the keyword in ONLY the body of the press release.
Sort By – Select a field to sort the results by:
- PR Date
- PR Title
- Archive
- Display
Add Press Release
A new press release is added using the add press release form and can be edited by selecting the press release from the list.
- Press Release Date – The date the press was officially released.
- Press Release Title – The name of the press release that will appear in the press release list between the show and hide dates when the display box is checked.
- Archive – When this box is checked the press release is closed and cannot be displayed on an event site.
- Display – When this box is checked the press release is available to be displayed on an event site.
- Show Date – The date that a displayed press release will show on an event site.
- Hide Date – The date that a displayed press release will stop showing on an event site.
- Press Release Body - The full content of the press release. Images and hyperlinks can be added using the formatting toolbar above the content window.
Associate an Event Type and PR Category
A press release can be associated with one or more event types. When an event displays these global press releases, all press releases that are associated with the event’s type will display. Each event type can have multiple categories for press releases that event site users (Attendees, Exhibitors, etc) can use to search through the list.
Event Type
To associate a press release with an event type:
- In the press release list, locate the press release to be edited. If there are a large quantity of press releases use the press release search to narrow the list.
- Click the event type hyperlink at the end of the row for that press release.
- Check the box next to all the event types this press release should be associated.
- Click update to save changes.
- Associate PR Categories if desired.
To disassociate an event type, uncheck the box for that event type and click update.

PR Category
Once an event type is associated with a press release the PR Category hyperlink in the associate PR Category column will become active.
For each event type that needs PR Categories associated/disassociated:
- Click on PR Category hyperlink for the event type
- Check the check box for each category to be associated; uncheck the box to disassociate the category.
- Click update to save changes.
